Plans - General Information
Hull construction for trailer boats up to about 25' is generally similar. Generic construction

drawings are provided and necessary detail for each design. Larger and special vessels have

comprehensive drawings.

LINES: Hull lines are not provided. All lofting has been done and all necessary shapes are on

the patterns. Builders wanting to loft custom components can use the frame shapes on the pattern.
OFFSETS: There is no table of offsets, for the same reason.
CONSTRUCTION: For smaller boats, construction is detailed using generic drawings of typical
cross-sections with detail as necessary. For larger craft and special vessels, detailed structural sheets
are included.
SUPERSTRUCTURES: Where indicated in the catalogue, full-size patterns for cabin or deckhouse
shapes are included.This greatly simplifies cabin work which can take a lot of time.
DETAIL: Items like seat boxes, tanks, fish wells, hatches etc. are detailed in generic drawings for
inclusion as the builder chooses.
WELD SCHEDULE: Is included.
MATERIAL LIST: Includes aluminium components only, but a check list for fitting-out is included
to help in costing.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES: A step-by-step description of the building process, building hints and
pitfalls to avoid.
